Preheat the oven to 400 F.
To prepare beef for pizza, heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add a drizzle of vegetable oil. Add ground beef to the pan and break up with spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Cook stirring often until beef is browned and just cooked through. Strain off excess rendered fat if necessary. And set ground beef aside. Add one Tb of rendered fat and add diced onion into the pan. Add a 1/4 -½ cup of salsa and stir to combine. Set aside.
Spread pizza dough onto cookie sheet or pizza peel. Spread an even layer of Taco dip base across pizza dough. Next sprinkle an even layer of cooked ground beef mixture across pizza. Finally top with cheddar jack cheese.
Bake pizza until dough is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Remove pizza from oven, cool for a few minutes, cut into slices, top with drizzle of salsa, romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes. Enjoy!
