Chef Beth has made this classic comfort food so easy with a ready-made sauce, and her creamy, DREAMY mashed potatoes!
- 1 quart Carolina Flavors shepherd’s pie base sauce, defrosted
- 1 pack ground beef
- 1 pint peas and carrots, frozen
- 1 container Carolina Flavors mashed potatoes, defrosted but not warmed
Sauté ground beef in a large pan until browned and just cooked through.
Add ¾ of sauce base to ground beef and bring to a simmer. Should be saucy, but not liquid. Add peas and carrots, cook for 5 minutes.
Pour meat and vegetable mixture into a deep pie pan or baking dish. Top with Cold mashed potatoes and bake in a 400F oven until nicely browned on top and bubbly, approximately 25-30 minutes.
