Meet Our Farmers

From award-winning peppers, berries, eggplants, and heirloom tomatoes to lettuce, melons, cabbages, and more, our farmers work hard to put food on your table. The Produce Box works with more than 100 farmers across the state of North Carolina to bring local farm-fresh produce, dairy, and meats to you every week.

The food going into your Produce Box is not only good for you — it’s good for the environment, too. Our farmers practice sustainable agriculture by using filtered or closed water systems, covering their crops, and diversifying what they plant each year.

Where Does My Food Come From?

When putting together our weekly menu, we always buy local first from our farmers in North Carolina. We also supplement with regional and U.S. produce to make sure you have a healthy variety of fruits and vegetables to choose from each week.

Our facility is inspected regularly by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture to make sure all the foods we offer are safe, wholesome, properly labeled, stored, distributed, and held under sanitary conditions.

If you want to know more about individual farmers that we work with, follow The Produce Box on social media to hear their stories.
