Best trick I ever learned as a chef is that the best way to hard boil an egg doesn’t involve boiling an egg! The trick is to STEAM the eggs! It will take a little bit longer than the normal boiling process, but you will save so much time with the quick peeling – Chef Beth
Place whatever quantity desired into the steamer insert on a pot. Add a few inches of water to the base and place steamer insert with eggs above water. Place a tight fitting lid and turn on medium/high heat. Steam eggs for 20 minutes starting timer once the water begins to boil.
When the timer is up, remove eggs from the steamer basket and run under cold water to cool. Peel immediately and store any unconsumed eggs in water so they don’t dry out. Enjoy within 2 days.
