Welcome to our newest artisan partner, Bees & Boards Charcuterie!
Beth Shearin-Smith is the owner of Bees and Boards Charcuterie Company. Having been a chef for 25 years, Beth most recently owned the Hilltop House Restaurant in Fayetteville, NC.
When Covid hit last year, Beth was given the opportunity to sell her restaurant. With the future of in-person dining so uncertain, she decided to take advantage of the offer.
After an 8 month break from the industry, in October of 2020 a friend asked her to help with her shop for the holiday season.
While helping her friend Kellie, she urged Beth to offer a Charcuterie Class. It immediately sold out, and the rest you can say is history.
While visiting her son in Charlotte, Beth informed him of her plan to open a custom charcuterie company. They kicked around names throughout the weekend and kept going back to Bees and Boards. The name seemed appropriate given that Beth’s father is a builder – he was making the beautiful custom made charcuterie boards used in Beth’s class at Katie’s shop!
“Growing up my dad would always sign any notes or cards he left to us as “Love Dad” followed by a drawing of a bee. Hence, Bees and Boards Charcuterie Company was born.”
Welcome, Beth! Her products are gorgeous and available on the menu now!
